We are Louise and Amy, the founders of The Shiny Happy Cleaning Company. We have many years of experience between us in all sorts of cleaning work.
Louise joined her parents Window Cleaning business in 1994 and worked in the family business until she married Rob in 2001. She is a familiar face in Northallerton, having grown up and gone to school there, and now lives in Darlington with Rob and their two boys. Rob and Louise have worked together Window Cleaning in Northallerton, Darlington and surrounding areas since they got married.
Amy has lived in Darlington for almost 20 years, and worked in various jobs including banking and administration. She has 3 children to keep life interesting! After being good friends for 15 years, we decided we now know each other well enough to go into business together! We chose this line of work as we wanted to be self-employed to fit in with bringing up our families, and we both wanted to work in a field that brings job satisfaction, and helps people.
We understand that if you are inviting someone into your home, you need to feel that you can trust them. We pride ourselves on working to a high standard and are always happy to meet up with you before you commit yourself to using our company. Each customer is unique and has different needs so we tailor our services to individuals.

We will only send people into your house who we would be happy to use ourselves. In fact, we have used all of the people we work with in our own homes.
We have had our own carpets and sofas cleaned by David, who is our specialist. With us both having children we know how sticky fingers can make things grubby very quickly, and how leaking pens and spilt drinks can be the bane of every parent's life! We have seen with our own eyes how effective the HOST cleaning system is that David uses. I was sure I would need to buy a new sofa but David came to the rescue and it looks as good as new again! He has 12 years experience and takes pride in working to a very high standard. He also has a great deal of commercial experience, cleaning hotels, pubs, clubs, and offices. Our Oven Cleaning Team, Sarah and Steve are also excellent at their job. We have used them, as have many of our friends and family, and they are so happy with their work we regularly get texts from them telling us how shiny and clean their ovens are! Our Gutter and Fascia Board cleaner is Rob, Louise's husband. He has 20 years experience with this kind of work, and also cleans windows. He has many regular and long standing customers, some of whom he has worked for for 17 years. He works to a high standard and is always cheerful and professional.
